We have been alerted to a phishing scam targeting consumers via SMS, a URL and TikTok. The message falsely claims that there are job vacancies at Food Lover’s Market. We have taken all the steps we can to alert our consumers to the scam via our social media platforms, as well as alerting our internal teams.
NOTE, Food Lover’s Market will NEVER request a payment from you to apply for a position. THIS IS HOW THE SCAM LOOKS:
The scam itself is shared via Tiktok, SMS and a FAKE web link / URL.
Once clicked, it redirects to a ‘Canva.com’ link, showcasing a fake webpage (using the Food Lover’s Market logo, as seen above).
‘canva.com’ and ‘flmcareers.co.za’ are fake links.

Furthermore, we have alerted our consumers to the scam via our social media platforms on several consecutive days, as well as alerted our internal teams.
How do you know it’s a phishing scam?
* Food Lover’s Market job vacancies will NEVER request an application fee, and will not be sent out via SMS, WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook or Instagram. Please make use of the official Food Lover’s Market job vacancy platform, or find information on our LinkedIn page.
* Competitions will only be advertised on the Food Lover’s Market website (with the domain name www.foodloversmarket.co.za) or Food Lover’s Market social media platforms and never as a link shared on WhatsApp or any other website.
* There will always be terms and conditions attached, available for you to access on the Food Lover’s Market website.
* If you receive a link via a messaging platform for a competition or job vacancy, claiming to be from Food Lover’s Market, do not click on it – rather contact our Customer Care to confirm the legitimacy of the competition.
* Food Lover’s Market will never ask you for payment of any kind in order to access a prize, or apply for a job.
* Food Lover’s Market will never ask you for bank details either.
* Beware of any advertisements or offers using webmail email addresses such as @gmail.
