Mango Guacamole

The addition of sweet, ripe mango to your salsa, salad or guacamole not only added freshness and colour, but it adds a burst of flavour.

This tasty mango recipe is brought to you by the South African Mango Growers’ Association (SAMGA). 





  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted, and cubed
  • 200g fresh mango, peeled, pitted, and cubed
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ red pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) fresh coriander, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 red chilli, seeded and finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Mix all the ingredients well together and refrigerate for the flavours to infuse, for about 20 minutes.
  2. Serve the tortilla chips with the mango guacamole.
