At Food Lover’s, we believe it’s not just about value, it’s also about values. In keeping with our vision, we developed our unique Earth Lovers program where amongst other aspects, such as tackling environmental concerns, looking after our people, supporting smallholder farmers and ensuring our customers are able to live healthy lives, we are also actively supporting a number of community initiatives across South Africa.
The recipients of the support we provide meet the following criteria; `They run programs that create meaningful and sustainable social impact in the areas of food and health.’
We already work with a number of inspirational organisations, including FoodForward SA, Sporting Chance and Kos vir Skole. Our contributions of fresh produce facilitate these organisations providing 800 000 meals annually for disadvantaged people countrywide through Foodforward, meals for children who participate in community-based sports programs with Sporting Chance, and lunches for 3500 school children per day with our friends at Kos vir Skole.
While we are only able to support a select number of organisations, we are always interested in hearing from new organisations making an impact in our key areas described above.
